Jose Lopez, MD

Dr. Lopez is a Professor Medicine in Hematology and Biochemistry at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He is Chief Scientific Officer of Bloodworks NW Research Institute and Adjunct Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington. His current research interests are in studying platelet adhesion and von Willebrand factor function, the role of platelets in inflammation, and sickle cell vasoclusion.
