Tami Sadusky

Tami received a kidney and pancreas transplant in May 1993, and in May 2011 she received a second kidney transplant both at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC). For the last 22 years, Tami worked for the University of Washington serving as the Executive Director of Research Finance and Operations providing fiscal oversight for over $1 billion of research activity. In November 2015 she left her University position to spend more time pursuing her passion of working in the areas of living organ donation and transplantation. She feels she has been extremely lucky receiving the ‘gift of life’ not just once, but twice, and feels strongly it is now her turn to ‘give back’. Tami is actively involved as a volunteer with the UWMC on their Transplant Advisory Council, is a member of the UWMC Team Transplant Strategic Planning and Finance Committee and is on the Board of Directors for Transplant House, a non-profit organization that provides housing for patients recovering from a transplant. She recently launched a home baking business, Tami’s Sweet Temptations, as a tribute to her mother who had a talent for baking and making people smile. Tami loves traveling, dancing, fashion, baking, country western music and life. Her favorite quote is by Winston Churchill – We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.
