Ted Kohler, MD
(Vascular Surgery)

Dr. Kohler is a UW professor of surgery whose clinical interest is in general vascular surgery. His scope of care includes arterial and venous diseases of the peripheral circulation and dialysis access procedures. He helped begin the endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms in the Pacific Northwest in collaboration with Dr. David Glickerman. He continues to promote less invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease and improved care of patients requiring dialysis access.

  • Clinical trials involving endovascular care of aneurysms
  • New methods for dialysis access and basic research in arterial injury and repair
  • Development of noninvasive ultrasound techniques for diagnosis of peripheral and renal artery occlusive disease
